4 months old!

Ammon is no longer a newborn baby. He's one huge chunky baby. He is literally breaking my back. That's okay, I guess, since he is so cute. This past month has been so much fun for us as Ammon continued to grow and develop so well.

Ammon can bring objects up to his mouth. Before, he would bring up a toy to his eye and completely miss his mouth. Now he grabs whatever he can get his hands on and tries to eat it: stuffed animals, mommy's and daddy's fingers, random power cables laying about, etc.

Ammon can turn over now. When he's on his tummy he can turn over quickly so he's on his back. When he's on his back he scrunches up his body and lets gravity turn him over onto his side. He has yet to accomplish back to tummy but he'll get it down someday. When I put him down for a nap and come back later to check on him, he is on the other side of the crib. Ammon doesn't crawl--he rolls.

Ammon now goes to sleep around 8 every night...well, almost every night. He sleeps peacefully through the night until 7 in the morning. It's so nice to have the evening to catch up on activities like chores, reading, watching movies, sleeping, eating, etc.

Ammon is developing his anger skills. When he is MAD he'll cry and, instead of screaming, he'll go "buh-buh-buh-buuuuhh-BWAH!!!!!!" Maybe we'll get a video of this so you can see exactly what we're talking about. It's just so interesting how he's developing language skills to communicate with us.

Ammon has a tooth! It was discovered around Christmas time--what a nice little gift from Santa! It's a front tooth on the bottom left of his little gums. There's only one so far, and it's coming in nicely. Ammon's not fussy or feverish. He just likes to chew on everything for comfort. Someday we'll get a picture of it...once Ammon's tongue stops moving over it and he'll let us show it off.

Sleepy little Ammon in his little monkey hat.

Just so HAPPY! He loves his changing station...for some reason, he's so happy when you put him on it. Maybe he just loves getting his diaper changed.

The bib says it all.

One night, Ammon was making the silliest faces as his tongue was playing with his little tooth. He doesn't even look like my baby in this picture! Silly Ammon!
